Snap Your Mouse To Default Value

Post A Comment

This is a quick tip for those looking to make your windows navigation a little more easier. When a new window comes up while deleting a file or changing a background in windows, this registry edit will cause your mouse to move to the default value automatically. It will automatically point to the delete or yes button so that you dont have to manually move to that value.

For this do the following steps:
Click Start>Run> type in regedit

In the registry editor that comes up, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Mouse .

In the right pane, look for the value 'SnapToDefaultButton'. If it exists go to next step, else right click there, select New->String Value and enter name as SnapToDefaultButton (exactly as shown here).

Double click the key SnapToDefaultButton and change its value as 1.

Close the registry editor.

Done! Logoff or restart and see the effect. Your mouse points to the default value in new windows automatically. To reverse this, simple change the value of the 'SnapToDefaultButton' as 0.

Happy Browsing!
