Post A Comment

If you want to change the size and quality of those old boring thumbnails in your windows XP OS, do the following steps:

  • Click Start>Run>Type in Regedit and click OK.

  • Navigate to the following key:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer

  • There, To Change the thumbnail size check whether a key named ThumbnailSize is present. If it is, increase its value to anything between 32 and 256.

  • If the key is not present, right click on that right pane, Choose New>DWORD Value and give the key name as ThumbnailSize . Give it's Decimal value as anything between 32 and 256. Larger the value, larger the thumbnail size.

  • To change the thumbnail quality, do the same above two steps with the key name as ThumbnailQuality and change its decimal value as anything between 50 and 100.

Done! Restart your system to view the effects.
