A good utility, but Norton wont allow installation. It simply disables/deletes files whether online or offline. Is there something you all can do to outwit this?

Simple! Disable Norton while installing this program. After the patching is done and the software is running you can enable Norton again.

Well. That's the challenge all of you have now. After disabling and enabling, Norton quietly removes the patch and disables the utility. I had checked not once but thrice. System without Norton works perfectly well.
The challenge is how to install with Norton.
Norton automatically deletes the patch and converts the installation files into uninstallation mode by default and if you click, it simply uninstalls.

Add the folder of this application as an exception in Norton and hence prevent Norton from scanning that folder. If you can't figure out how to add exceptions in Norton, tell us which version of Norton you are using.
After adding an exception, patch it and work with rar recovery tool hassle free.

It is Internet security 2009 version. This scans the hard disk completely for any patches and simply deletes them with a message "info...gampass."
