Capture Text 5.5

Recognize text and graphics instantly.

Imagine, you see large amount of text on your desktop, but there's no way you can copy it to clipboard and subsequently deal with it: a messagebox, a flash animation, a graphic picture, or some words or figures protected by a "script", or it just cannot be copied to clipboard? No way really?

With Screen Capture Text, you won't have to re-type anything.
You can select text with the regular (rectangular) selection tool and let the character recognition solution do the rest! In less than a second Capture Text (character recognizer) automatically scans the selected area, recognizes the text and saves it to clipboard. All you need to do then is to paste it into document!

The main feature of the Capture Text is that being a screen capture program, it can recognize and save any text that otherwise cannot be saved or printed. That makes Capture Text a highly valuable tool. In other words Capture Text can copy everything that resembles text in any form. You can forget about copy-protected texts or any data - Capture Text will copy and save it for you.

You can select the text by the following methods: draw rectangular line and thus select the text that's in it; select the whole visible display area (window select); select the text/graphics while scrolling the window; using the "smart" method - i.e. draw your mouse cursor along the line or select all the text in PDF document using the command. Then you have to choose the "copy" command and text will be saved to clipboard.

Capture Text has a user-friendly and intuitive interface. You don't have to be a novice or a master - it is simple enough.

Features:

  • Recognizes text in any type of document (HTML, Word, Notepad, PDF, BMP or JPG image) or in any part of the screen and saves it to clipboard.
  • Recognizes texts that cannot be saved or printed
  • Recognizes texts in any language that cannot be saved or printed
  • Recognizes "hidden" text ignoring blocking scripts on Internet pages
  • Text Screen Screen Reads selected text in documents, emails or Internet pages.
  • Works with virtually any proportional and fixed typeface
  • Properly works with character sizes 6 to 72 point
  • Selects the text with rectangular selection tool, window selection, scrolling window selection or graphic selection
  • Fully integrates with word processing tools

Disable Or Enable Windows Vista System Restore

Post A Comment

System Restore is a system recovery feature of Windows that creates snapshots, or restore points, of the state of your computer at various intervals or before you perform a certain task.Whenever users install software program, drivers, updates, hotfixes and other system changing files, Windows Vista will create Restore Point by using System Restore, part of System Protection feature, where a snapshot and stored state of important system files are backed up and copied using Shadow Copy Service. It anything goes wrong such as driver not working or program causes instability to the system, users can easily rollback to the previous state. The major advantage of turning off Windows Vista system restore feature is to free up space on your hard disk and increase your computer performance. The major disadvantage is that you will lose your restore points all together and you can’t restore your computer to a previous date.

To turn off Windows Vista System Restore:

  • Click on Windows Vista Start.
  • Right-click the Computer icon, and then click Properties.
  • Click on System Protection under the Tasks column on the left side
  • Click on Continue on the “User Account Control” window that pops up
  • Under the System Protection tab, find Available Disks
  • Uncheck the box for any drive you wish to disable system restore on.
  • When turning off System Restore, the existing restore points will be deleted. Click “Turn System Restore Off” on the popup window to do this.
  • Click OK
  • When you have finished, restart the computer and follow the instructions in the next section to turn on System Restore.

To turn on Windows Vista System Restore:

  • Click on Windows Vista Start.
  • Right-click the Computer icon, and then click Properties.
  • Click on System Protection under the Tasks column on the left side
  • Click on Continue on the “User Account Control” window that pops up
  • Under the System Protection tab, find Available Disks
  • Place a checkmark in the box for any drive you wish to enable System Restore on. Click OK

Done! Happy tweaking!

Set IE Search Provider

Post A Comment

If you use Internet Explorer regularly, you mahve noticed that the default search provider is msn for IE. Often, when you try to change this by going to the MS website, you encounter a "Error On Page' message. Thus you are stuck with using msn as the default provider.

Now if you want to change this to some other common search provider like Google or Yahoo, there is no apparent method. However, after extensive searching we found these two files that can add Google and Yahoo also as search providers. Then you can set either Google or Yahoo or msn as your default search provider in IE.

Just download the following RAR file, unrar it and run the two files inside named 'Google' and 'ysetsearchie' . First one is a registry entry and second is an exe file. Be assured that as always, both are legitimate files and does not have any adwares, spywares, viruses or trojans. If you are still suspicious, please make a backup of your registry before adding the registry key.

Please note that you can still add only Google and Yahoo to IE search providers through this method. But better than getting stuck with msn for life right? So, the file for download is right here,

Social networking sites have grown up in huge numbers over the last few years. Now you can almost be sure even the 90 year old granny down the block has a profile on some of these sites. Well, but have you thought of connecting with people who own the same car as you or play the same games as you do? At acobay, that’s exactly what you can do. You get invited into a whole new consumer network where you can share stuff, browse stuff map and you can even promote your own blog. You can share ideas with people who own the same stuff as you, browse their profile and before you know it, you will be immersed in the wide wild network of Acobay. I really liked reading the stuff others wrote up about ipod touch (which I own, incidentally). It’s kinda fun, so check it out at Acobay.
